Old Cass Tech Fire of July 30, 2007

For those of you who are unaware of it, the original Cass Tech building was set ablaze by some vagrants on Monday, 7/30/07.  The fire was started on the first level and did damage  up to the sixth floor.  The monetary value of the damage has not been determined as of yet.  The good news is that preservationists believe that there is no structural damage and the building can still be renovated for residential and commercial use.  Here are some photos, videos and links.  Some photos are courtesy of the Yahoo!
